STREET TRACKER
The new Generation III Street Tracker is the final evolution of the model. You may order its parts individually or as a kit - the price is the same. Shown here are the basic parts at the base price. For example, Omar's offers four different exhaust systems, tail sections come with and without side panels and other parts have options.
The Street Tracker tank is styled like XR-750 Harley tank on steroids. It holds about 3 gallons for an adequate riding range. It mounts just like the stock tank. Tank includes two race-style petcocks and a gas cap with a one-way check valve for venting. The sides are flat for easy graphics application. It is finished in white gelcoat. Could this tank fit other brands? Maybe but you would need a similar back bone length and you'd have to replicate Yam 650 style mounting on your frame.
Unique feature. The interior of this tank is coated with Gard-CoatTM. This is a secret* barrier which the alcohol in ethanol fuels can not penetrate. Alcohol will eat away the inside layer of polyester resin in uncoated fiberglass tanks. These leached out resins mix with your fuel and enter the engine where they solidify in small carburetor passages, valve guides and other fun places. The only remedy is an engine teardown and clean up. And that's not cheap!
* We think we are the only company who has found the solution for permanent fiberglass tank coating protection and we ain't sharing this with anybody. If you are going to buy a glass tank from somebody else-put 'em up against the wall with questions regarding ethanol in their tanks.

Over the years Omar's has sold hundreds of XRWO fenders. As you can see in the photo the sides on the XRWO fender are smooth from front to back. There is a dropped pocket in the fender. The dropped pocket sits on the frame cross member. We provide well nuts and bolts so mounting is limited to drilling two holes in the frame. The front of the fender is secured with the rear tank mount post. This fender is molded to kiss fit the back of our Street Tracker tank. Cushion foam is high quality and molded from single foam block, not scrap foam bits like others. It is covered with a heavy weight vinyl and has a textured Street Fighter top. Kit includes fender, cushion, mounting hardware and instructions. XRWO fender is $285. If you want us to fiberglass in a bracket and include our taillight and heavy duty stainless steel license plate holder to the underside of the fender, the total price is $434.

The XRWS is for use with stock 650 tanks. This photo is the original gray covered pattern before finish sanding and polishing. The final fender will come in white gelcoat. It is covered with a heavy weight vinyl and has a textured Street Fighter top. Fender (when ordered with Gen II tank) is designed to self-mount on frames from 1974 on. Taillight is optional. Fender for Standard 650s is shown above. Fender for Special models have rounded bulges in rear of number panel for laid down shocks. Street Tracker fender will not fit Specials after 1981-you will have to move the upper shock mounts to the rear. Some guys don't want fenders with side number panels, they want to use the stock side covers. Okay, then pick the XRW fenders. It comes in two versions, the XRWO for use with an Omar's Street Tracker tank, and the XRWS, for use with a stock Yamaha tank. Same seat cushion as the fender above. The taillight option is the same too
Omar's made this new panel for Mert's Street Tracker and it replaces my Gen I unit. This is the basic kit as before but the front panel has been reshaped with a beaded edge so it looks just like a 12" x 10" AMA Class 'C' number plate. Kit includes; front panel with light cut-out, a mini 4 1/2" x 2" light (not-DOT legal) with a 55 watt single filament halogen bulb (no high/low feature - lamp's too small), back fiberglass mounting box shaped to fit 650 Yamaha forks from 1974 on, four fork mounting hose clamps, two hinges, rivets. PS-those little speedo and tach are from JC Whitney! They accept stock cables. You can mount speedo/tach below the level of the bars too.
The AMA banned these fiberglass fork protectors because they have a leading edge and are somewhat aerodynamic. What picky people! These are shaped to fit Cerannis and Betors but they can be trimmed to fit most right side up dirt track styled forks. Made of paintable and repairable fiberglass. A nice finishing touch for your project. A great way to balance the color of your shock springs. Use zip-ties or Velcro to mount. They are thin fiberglass and kinda snap fit on to sliders.
Generation II vinyl graphics kit for the Omar's tank and fender. Four colors. Kit for Standard model 650s includes side panels (9 pieces -$125). Kit for Special models does not have side panel stickers (7 pieces - $115). Fits Generation I and II tanks and fenders. Designed to fit flat surfaces and will not fit on stock tanks. Dirt track bikes use 19" rear wheels - the proper look for your Street Tracker too.
This kit allows you to use a 19" front wire or 19" cast wheel on the rear. This is a must on Specials with chopper-like 16" rear wheels. Kit also allows the use of a rear disc on the Standard 650s (but you'll need to steal all the brake components and swing arm from a Special to fit on a Standard).
A fat tire on a narrow rim is not a problem - the tire profile is a bit taller but fits nicely inside the 650 swing arm. When you order a DT tire, the tire size must fit inside a stock 650 swing arm (5"). Now know, when you use a dirt track tire on the road it will go away between 3000 to 5000 miles because it's a soft compound. Most guys don't care because a Street Tracker is a weekend bike.

19" wheel is not included
The front end of Street Trackers can look a bit naked. Fork guards and a fork brace help complete the look. This billet aluminum brace made by an ice tracker friend are machined to fit the 650 Yamaha fork sliders. It will really tighten up your front end handling. They look absolutely wonderful.
Replace OEM plastic (can you say wobble) bushings from a bronze alloy. Won't rust like needle bearings. Fits many Yamaha models – DS7, R5, RD, XS, DT, MX and RT.
